The University of Lagos (UNILAG) on Tuesday said its post-Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) aptitude test for prospective students for the 2017/2018 academic session will hold from September 18 to September 22. It said that only candidates who made UNILAG their first choice in the 2017/2018 UTME and scored 200 and above are eligible for the screening. JAMB releases cut off marks for 2017 admission. JAMB has released cut off marks for all universities and polytechnics in Nigeria. So if you wrote this year UTME JAMB exam, the marks you are expected to score in order to gain admission into any Nigerian universities or Polytechnics are now be decided by the registrar of JAMB Professor Is-haq Olanrewaju Oloyede. ASUU to get N23 billion from government as strike paralyses universities

- The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) recently paralysed activities in tertiary institutions with industrial action  - ASUU said it was not happy the government reneged in its agreement with lecturers  - The federal government says it is releasing N23 billion to meet part of the demands As the industrial action embarked upon by lecturers in Nigeria continues, the country’s education minister,  Adamu Adamu, has announced that the government will release N23 billion to meet their demand. Adamu said this before the Senate committee on tertiary institutions and TETFUND, chaired by Senator Jibrin Barau.  According to Adamu, the government is making serious move to meet the agreement upon which the lecuters, under the auspices of the Academic staff Union of Universities (ASUU), embarked on strike.
